Sadly, after living aboard Wimahl for over 3 years, we've moved onto a bigger boat and it's time to let her go.
Wimahl is a 1978 Carl Alberg designed Cape Dory 28.
She's had a lot of use over the years, including sailing the South Pacific with a previous owner.
We bought her in Portland, OR in 2013, did some needed work and then sailed up the coast to the Puget Sound, living aboard for over 3 years.
Be aware the Volvo Penta MD7A diesel is not currently working. The high pressure fuel injection pump quit a couple years ago, and parts are no longer available.
We built a Chinese sculling oar for close maneuvering, and have done several trips around the Puget Sound and Straits of Juan de Fuca only under sail power.
Equipment:
Sails:
New mainsail (2014)
Genoa
Club-footed jib
Drifter
Volvo Penta MD7A (not running, likely need repowered)
Yulo Sculling oar
120 watt solar panel setup
Propane stove
Radio
Wood-fired wall mounted heater
Composting Toilet
Asking $9500, would love to see her go to a good home.
