Cd28 shaft diameter?

Curious to whoever has the original setup, what is your shaft diameter?

1 inch diameter was the standard on CD28.

Do you know if the engines were hard mounted? Mine used to have an md2, not sure how mounted. The stern tube just seems tiny for a one inch shaft..... Had trouble with the alignment and there's not much room to play with....

I have a 1977 cd 28 with a one inch shaft. It still has the old Farymann a 30 and the mounts are LARGE rubber pads. The proper motor /shaft alignment has always been problematic.

I had a MD 2B on my CD28, it had rubber on the engine mounts. I have a brand new shaft if you need one. I decided to install a new Beta Marine 16 hp.

Just slabs of rubber, not separate flexible engine mounts with a stud for adjusting height, right? How about the beta, flexible mounts I assume, any experiences of shaft banging in the stern tube due to normal engine movement?

Yes, the Beta has adjustable engine mounts. I have a Beta 14 in my 28.
