Sailing out of Bullocks Cove (Riverside) I never had a problem with the Honda 2hp. Always had enough power even when fighting a current. When I first launched the boat I motored over from Portland on the Ct river with it. Used 2 gallons of gas. I like the clutch setup and if you turn the engine while steering you can spin on a dime. The engine will lift up in reverse if you gun it- some bolt the engine mount down but I just hold it down with my hand.

Mine came with a 5HP Honda 4 stroke long shaft. Works great and has F-N-R
