20th Anniversary Bronze Plate/Plaque

Post by barfwinkle »

Good Morning to all

In celebration of our 20th Anniversary year the CDSOA, Inc Board of Directors is pleased to announce the casting of the CDSOA, Inc’s 20th Anniversary Commemorative Plates (Plaques). This plate/plaque, cast in bronze, will be the same size as the bronze builder’s plates that adorn many of our beloved Cape Dory’s and is currently in the casting process at Bristol Bronze.

The 20th Anniversary Commemorative Plaque should be available for order in the next three weeks so stay tuned to this station for that announcement. In order to gauge the number of Commemorative Plaques to run in the first casting, Bristol Bronze asked that we submit a posting to the bulletin board to try and ascertain how many plaques to include in the initial casting. So if you want a 20th Anniversary Commemorative Plate please check the box in the Poll. This information will then be made available to Bristol Bronze.

The cost of the Plate is $66.00. CDSOA, Inc members receive a 10% discount off that price. Plus shipping of course.

Response to this post is an effort to determine interest ONLY and DOES NOT constitute an order of this product or put your name on a "list". So be sure and indicate your desire to own this piece of history. Future castings will depend on demand.

I would be interested. It should fit nicely alongside the original plate.

With 10% of all dues-paying members reporting, CBS and CNN are now calling the vote 'in favor" of producing the bronze plaques.

I was trying to figure out how to make one myself. I would take at least one, perhaps two. I would like to see if they could add the features to use it on a belt.

Good News CDSOA, Inc Members

If you have already ordered your Anniversary Plaque (Roger informed me that he had received several orders) they will be shipped tomorrow via USPS. I can't wait to get mine!

The first Member to get theirs would you please post a pic. Mine will be a bit longer in route due to the fact I live in the Heartland!

Instructions for ordering yours were posted in another thread associated with this topic.

I submitted the form today via email (at least I guess that is how it was sent; not sure). I used the form Bill posted on the other thread and then pressed "SEND".

I left the section blank about "Part #". I just said one (1) CDSOA bronze plaque. I assume Bristol Bronze will know what that means.

I also did not provide credit card information. Bristol Bronze will hopefully call me for that information.

I also submitted my form today.
There have been some pretty interesting threads on this board about Roger and Bristol Bronze. I hope the positive comments are the right ones.
