Height of posts for CD 25 cradle

Post by windsong »

Before haul out of my Cape Dory 25, I'd like to know at what height to set the jacks on my new cradle. It is steel, 12'x5'8".The posts, not counting the jacks, are 30" at a tilt for the bow and 36" at 90 degrees for the stern. I can cut off as much as 6" on each post. If that is necessary, I'm hoping to do that before haul out. I have no old cradle and I'm not aware of any Cape Dory 25 cradle nearby. Thanks. Windsong

On My 70" wide Triad tlr there are 3 jacks on the side:, 24" at 30*, 36" at 90* and 30" at 30* measuring front to back
Those are the distances from the frame to the hull. The bow is supported just under the prow. Hope this helps.
