I highly recommend John Howell out of Annapolis. Very experienced not only with sailboats but power boats to. He surveyed the Far Reach when I bought her in 2001 and again after our rebuild in the spring of 2015. He is also a sailor. He surveyed my best friends wooden Grand Banks 42. Does contract work for the Navy to include wood minesweepers, LCU, tugs, etc. So he knows it all.

I think his rates are reasonable.

We used Art Johnson, out of Rising Sun, MD.

We wouldn't use him again. He missed a few things that he should have picked up and only did a very cursory hull inspection.
