Typhoon Weekender - Free to a good home

Post by Neil Gordon »

My slipmate at the marina is offering his Ty Weekender for free to a good home. It's in the water, rigged, and in sail away condition.

I know that the port light inserts are missing and there's a missing piece of teak here and there, but the boat is in otherwise good condition.

No trailer and it's occupying a rather expensive slip at Marina Bay in Boston Harbor. The owner has another boat there and just doesn't need the hassle of a prolonged sale process.

Email or PM will get you a contact phone number.

If this falls through, I will take her! I'm in Montauk, NY and can get her anytime!
I'm just learning to sail in my CD10 that I bought last summer and my plan was to get a typhoon!

Yup... he had it listed and wasn't seeing any action, which is why he asked me if I knew anyone who would take it away. Then he got a nibble. The deal hasn't closed yet and the Ty was in its slip as of 5 this afternoon.

Stay tuned.

Thanks to everyone who expressed interest. I passed the (former) owner at the marina today, and he told me title has been transferred to a new caretakers, two former dock mates of mine and friends of the now former owner. They're good boaters and the Ty is in good hands.

Wow, what a flurry that was! And it never moved from its location... LOL Reminds me of trying to date in Junior High School! What frenzy!
