When we bought our CD-33 all of the canvas was rotted away so all we have of the bimini and dodger are the frames. We have the bridge deck traveler set up and I have been trying to visualize how the bimini and dodger would be set up so that the mainsheet can travel freely between them.
I would love to see pictures of how others have theirs set up.

Re: CD-33 Bimini/Dodger Set-up w/ Bridge Deck Traveler
Hi Lance & Becky,
I have a CD-33, which I keep at Herrington Harbour South, about 20 miles south of Annapolis. When I purchased my boat 10 years ago, the PO had the bimini and dodger installed in the configuration shown in these pictures. I've since replaced the bimini and dodger, keeping the frames from the PO, as I like the configuration. The dodger is low to reduce windage, which means I have to bend over to enter/exit the cabin. I made the dodger in 4 pieces; the other 3 pieces (windshield and side panels) are not in the photo - it all zips together when the weather dictates.
The bimini is also a bit low to fit under the boom, but I stand 6 feet tall, and it just clears my head. When I drive the boat standing up, I look over the dodger. I have a filler piece which zips in between the dodger and bimini to greatly increase shaded area, but of course, any tacking or jibing requires either the forward or aft end of the filler to be unzipped first!
I hope these photos are helpful.
Jim
