Bimini Shade for Typhoon Weekender

Sailed the Cape for the first time in over a month and a half since our Joe Pool Lake was closed for major flooding and the marinas being closed. It was great and I have to hand it to the Lynn Creek Marina crew, they worked their tails off to get us going while repairs are still underway.
It was sunny and I've been wondering, has anyone installed any form of Bimini top on the Weekenders. I looked at a Capri 18 that has one on it and thought the boom height is about the same.
All ideas welcome! Thanks

It would ruin the aesthetics of your boat... Yes, Lynn Creek has been great through this and I will never complain about parking again.

A hat and sun screen? Maybe a beach umbrella or one of those hoop style sun shields for when at anchor. The boom height and end boom sheeting are going to make this difficult. It is hard enough to make a bimini work on a larger boat, Steve.

Thanks Joe and Steve for the thoughts. I agree that putting a shade on the Typhoon would take away from its good looks. Since I posted that note, I have been, as always wearing a hat, and putting on the sunscreen. I've also been using a good umbrella if the wind isn't demanding too much of me.
Works well. I've been getting in a good bit of sailing, usually starting out early while it's still somewhat cool.

L. Francis Herrashoff had this photo in his book 'An Introduction To Yachting'. Perhaps not practical today but typical of the turn of the century.

This fair question reminds us of the fact that as much as we are lured by technology and the wonderful inventory of fascinating add-ons available for the savvy skipper and re-fitter, the Typhoon remains a classic little yacht with additions making slight improvements to an overall well appointed little sailboat which always draws an eye on the water. Someone is always wondering about the design and its enduring lines....

The picture definitely speaks to what I must look like when I pop out the umbrella. Head gear is not the same though.
