FYI I talked with Armada Coatings about West's Wood Pro and Boat US Teak Coat. Wood Pro is not made by Armada, it is made by Sikkens and is the same as Cetol. Boat US Teak Coat is made by Armada and is identical to Armada. Armada under it's own label is also available from Defender. Armada is no longer in Georgia and that 800 no. doesn't work. They are in Havre de Grace, Maryland at 800-336-9320. The distributor for California in case you'd like your local dealer to carry it, is Svendsen's Marine in Oakland, CA.

It may be made by Cetol but it doesn't look at all like the Cetol I have seen. I just finished removing, sanding and redoing the wood on my typhoon with Wood Pro and am very happy with the way it looks. It looks like varnish. I opened a can of Cetol light that I had and painted a small test board and I would say the Wood Pro looks more like that, but certainly not like the orange look of most cetol. I have one customer that had used the Wood Pro two years ago on companion way boards and a few pieces of teak on his Hunter and it has stood up through two hard Nebr. summers quite well. Becuase of that and the fact that I had a free can of Wood Pro that was damaged in shipment, I decided to use it. If I had known that it was the "same as Cetol" I probably wouldn't have, because I don't really care for the opague and orange look of cetol. Fortunately, it turned out to not be really the same.
