Does anyone have experience cleaning a CD 25 with a power washer such as Karcher 280 M which has 1400 lbs per sq in pressure or any other type of power washer ?

I've found that a power washer is the ONLY WAY TO GO when washing my CD26. It will clean down into the deck texture and get into little cracks and crevices like nothing else - go for it!
Re: cleaning a CD 25
One of the guys in our marina had a problem with little black spots of algae or fungus gowing on the deck. Bleach and scrubbing slowed them down but they came right back. He hired a professional company to blast the decks with a power washer. The first machine wouldn't blast them off and they had to go back to the shop and get the big one to get them off. I don't know what the lbs per square inch were or anyting but the professionals do it. Just be careful at first and test before jumping in. They will strip paint right off so maybe loose gelcoat but if it's just dirt shouldn't be a problem.Jules Minsky wrote: Does anyone have experience cleaning a CD 25 with a power washer such as Karcher 280 M which has 1400 lbs per sq in pressure or any other type of power washer ?

We use a high pressure washer for a great deal of the cleaning here at the marina. Most if not all washers have a nozzle adjustment that allows you to start with less pressure and increase it as necessary. If you have a sloughing or ablative bottom paint, you will loose some of it as you pressure wash. Here a scrub brush may help save some paint.
