Both SOLD!

Post by Jim Walsh »

These are not the plastic junk sold today, they are both anodized aluminum. They will provide sturdy and secure universal mounts for your valuable electronics. (The ruler in the photo is 18" long)
$75.00 for the large one and $65.00 for the small one. $130.00 if you buy both. I pay the shipping in the lower 48. Anywhere else and shipping is on you.

Jim: can you contact me via email, I am interested in the larger mount, and possibly both.

The larger of the two arms is sold. The smaller arm, which has a 9" long base plate for mounting your insrument bracket, is still available.

This is a picture of one in use for those who may not be familiar with them. The photo is showing it retracted from the companionway of a Morris 34. A boat which strives to emulate a Cape Dory :)

The swivel arm at the bottom of the picture is still available. The instrument mounting plate is 9" long. All anodized aluminum construction. Properly mounted you can use it as a derrick to load blocks of ice into your icebox.....just kidding, but it is a quality piece of equipment.

Hey Jim, is the smaller unit still available? Let me know. If it I,s I need to go down and measure to make sure it will swing far enough into the companionway before I commit. Hope all's well. Phil

Jim, took a look today. I have two wooden handles on the inside of the companionway (one on either side) that may pose a problem. Don't know if they are standard Cape Dory. Also have a wooden box built around the bulkhead instrument backs on the inside of the bulkhead which I believe will support the swivel arm and GPS. I think if I attach the swivel arm on the top of the box, it will swing just above the handles. If they are made of aluminum, they can't be too heavy, I assume. Anyway, let's try it. Do you still live at the same address? I'll send you a check. Phil
