Good afternoon to all.
Here's this morning's Pensacola Sun Rise followed by a pic of the "bulwards" (if that's what their called) installed.

Bill, Rhapsody is looking ready to go. Where is your next stop?
Were you able to catch any of the Cards games while you waited?
I am looking forward to hearing about the adventures you and Sandra are starting.
Bon Voyage!

Re: This May be the Week!
Well Tim, I'll keep this brief as I can.
First, I'm behind schedule by at least 6 weeks. My bad, but with family holidays, and BIG Birthday Celebration for the Admiral stuff happened. And I might add that its has been one hell of a cold strange winter not only in Oklahoma and elsewhere, but in Pensacola (cold)!
Second, there is now a diesel can lashed to the port "bulwark" which should give me an extra 150 miles give or tak, and they add weight forward hopefully to offset the weight of the OB hanging off the stearn rail. And it's not like I'm going to be that far out of "place". I must admit I'm a bit anxious/intimidated by this whole thing. Leaving the truck (no wheels man!) & heading out. I guess just leaving the dock.
I hope to head out sunday AM but we got some fog rolling in (forecast) and while I have navigated pretty heavy stuff (with the infamous Capt Leo McDonald), I don't choose to if I have a choice. I have no clue how long I can stay out! I sure miss the Admiral. We tried to schedule a meet in Carribelle, but that's not going to work.
Frankly, I'm not sure I have the cajones to jump from Carrabelle across the Big Bend solo. So it may be a short trip. Only time, preparation, skill & intestinal fortitude will tell!
RE: our beloved Birds, the Admiral, along with #3 Granddaughter (just turned 19) are leaving Oklahoma in the morning (Sat) heading for Juipter for a Tuesday game. I don't recall who. They are in a Miata, so hitching a ride is not likely. My fat butt on the luggage rack would certainly throw the car out of trim, not to mention but it down on its lines.
So time will tell Tim.
Fair winds.

Bill:
When you make landfall in Key West (and you will ) give me call. I'll drive down and buy you one (or a few) Guinness to celebrate your trip.
On a different subject, what is the make and model of your dinghy you posted a photo of

Re: This May be the Week!
Thanks for the vote of confidence Robert.
The Dink is a Zodiac Wave 275 PVC onsale. The jurt is still out, but its better than my old "hard shell" dink. We'll see.
Fair winds and I'll take up on on the offer if I reach Key West.
