Who says you can't have a party with nine aboard a mid sized Cape Dory?
Family and Friends aboard for a week of fun and adventure aboard Femme
Femme at Manitou Island Fish Camp dock
Raspberry Island Lighthouse from the West Channel
Wet, rainy sailing, but at least it's not cold as the water
An Old Wreck on Outer Island
Buttoning down at anchor in Presque Isle Bay, Stockton Island
"Dad, can you get me my root beer? I don't want to get up."
Testing the load limits of the Nester Dinghy paddling to the campsite
Who says CD's are slow? Glorious Run under Spinnaker down the west side of Madeline Island to La Point - 6 knots in light air
Back to anchor and food
Breakin' him in young to keep a good watch
Families on the beach at Julian Bay, Stockton Island
Femme at rest looking pretty "lived aboard"
It was a lot of use packed into a little over a week. Next year two weeks minimum!

Paul, just saw these, wow Femme looks terrific! I noticed reports this winter that Superior is not completely ice covered. When can sailing actually begin? I should say, about when, because it certainly is ice melt dependent!

Skeep,
Thanks for your kind words. Femme still needs more attention but don't we all.
Looks like there is fairly good ice coverage on Superior this year but not as much as last year. That's important as the more ice coverage the more water in the lake come launch season.
Usually we start sailing mid May. Pull out October. Short season.

Paul, well at least the area in which you sail is strikingly beautiful. I'm sure there'll be many days aboard during your sailing season.
