NORTH CAROLINA CD OWNERS MEETING

Post by Joe Valinoti »

To: All North Carolina Cape Dory Owners
My name is Joe Valinoti of Oriental, NC. I own a CD28 (which is for sale) and a CD30. I was asked to try and form a Cape Dory owners fleet in North Carolina. Arrangements are being made to have an organizational meeting in Oriental on 13 January 2001. A guest speaker will be Leo Macdonald of the CDSOA NE Fleet.
The plan, so far, is to meet at the Village Restaurant (252 249-1700) in Oriental at 1100. They will provide a free meeting room and we can order off the menu when we get hungry. It's a family restaurant with a beer/wine license located on Broad Street (Route 55). Coming from New Bern (26 miles away)it's on the left side about a half mile before 55 ends at the bridge.
I would appreciate a reply so I have an idea of who is interested and might attend. Any questions, suggestions or request for directions, feel free to e-mail me or phone.
If you're not coming, send me your name, address, phone, boat size and name anyway so that I may keep a record.
See you there,
Joe

CD28 "Belle Tante"
P.S. I have a boat delivery to make to Fort Lauderdale, leaving tomorrow, so my replies may be delayed
