Enjoyable January Sail

I went to check on the boat yesterday with my family. When we got there, there was a good strong breeze and my boys asked if we could go for a short sail. Sure!

Beautiful. I'm jealous, the water her is a bit too hard for sailing right now. Where are you located?

I love that photo! Inspired me to post a "post Storm Juno" photo of the conditions in South Carolina in the lee of the mighty storm which paralyzed the Northeast for at least a day! Our folks were predicting 15 to 38 kts of wind but it was only about 15-20. Left my sail ties at home and threw on my vintage Jib for some fast "cove" reaches in absolutely beautiful weather.

I'm in South Carolina as well. I do like being able to sail year round.

We sail out of Western Carolina Sailing Club on Lake Hartwell. There are six CD's in the club right now, (2) 25D's, (2) 27's and (2) 330's. The club is very nice and less than 15 minutes from our house.

I continue to be amazed at the size of those inland lakes. Nothing like that in Ct.. You'd be tacking every five minutes. :D

Only if you're lake had an ice breaker. We are frozen in here in STL too. Less than a month til Spring :D
