Replacing cutlass bearing

Post by Howell and James »

The cutlass bearing has gone on our Cape Dory 33 (bearing for prop shaft). A clever engineering friend has offered to replace it but I'm wondering if anyone has done this job and has any tips/advice for him?

Nice to see we have at least one Cape Dory in the British Isles.
