Sad time, Nice view

Post by David van den Burgh »

Sad time of year, but a view I never tire of seeing. These boats sure have sweet lines.

Sad, but beautiful too. although that lighting messes up the neat graphics in that photo. That chainplate looks black, how does it look in the daylight? Would it be safe to paint the stainless white?

I'm betting it's stainless and is just reflecting a dark surface.

Yep, it's a contrasty image made worse by application of an Instagram filter, although the original is pretty contrasty too.

Nice clean bottom. Not like the Chesapeake Bay.

Shhhh… we don't want too many people to find out how great Great Lakes sailing really is! Not only does the bottom stay pretty clean, but important pieces don't rust either.

That really is a nice photograph. Kinda offsets the haul-out blues, eh?
