Atmospheric anomaly?

Post by Jim Walsh »

I was looking through some photo's and noticed this picture had an odd appearance when compared to others taken that day. Notice anything strange? I did not photoshop this image.

Wow :!: What type of camera did you use for this? Was it one of those digital settings that takes three simultaneous photos and combines them for the, supposedly, best results?
As Arte Johnson would say, Very interesting

It was taken with my iPhone 4S. Can't get more basic than that.

Tim may be on the right track. Check the photo, when viewed on your iPhone, to see if the HDR setting was on ( faint letters on the image would show). HDR (High Dynamic Range) takes three photos at different exposures in order to expand the range of exposure captured in tne photo. Perhaps movement or something else caused it to malfunction. Anyway, nice photo.

You could post the photo on an Apple forum and probably get some good feedback on the cause.
