Dirty boot top cure?

Don't forget to snap some photos while you work on that boat project, then share them here.

Dirty boot top cure?

Post by Jim Walsh »

Having suffered the indignity of a dirty boot top one too many times I decided on a two pronged approach. First I decided to raise my waterline by an inch and three quarters, then I decided to raise my boot top by one inch. When I taped it off it just looked right. I believe these two photos will support my belief. Returning to a CD brown boot top is also an improvement to my eye. The CD cove stripe and the waterline complement one another.
