Dear List,
We currently have two anchors mounted on the bow and one on the stern.
Our bow arrangement has us using the single anchor roller for our primary anchor and lashing a delta to the pulpit.
This config of the bow anchors dosen't please me and I'm looking for suggestions or photo's of someone's modifications for twin anchor mounting.
Any suggestions will be most helpful.
Thanks in advance,
Mike

I've got a CD30 with twin bronze long chute rollers. I installed them many years ago. I used ones made by ABI and then I fabricated 1/4" bronze anti chafe plates that protect the top of the bow platform aft of the roller chutes all the way to the end of the platform from chain abrasion (very important).
I mounted a roller chute on either side of the headstay, each chute is about 18" long. There was the perfect amount of space. I also fabricated 1/4" x 7/8" bronze strap retaining bails that I installed above the roller to contain the anchors in the chutes. We securely carry a 22lb Bruce and a 35 Delta side by side with no problems. ABI still makes the chutes and I know West Marine is a dealer of their stuff. I purchased mine direct from ABI when I was a dealer for their products some years ago. They are very nice rollers, one important thing to note is that the actual roller is a good size diameter and guides the shank well and cradles the anchor neck snugly.
