My understanding is that the Scale Model Company purchased the Cape Dory half model molds. They have a web site where you can order half models. I did so, never heard from them, called them twice and neither message was ever returned. Does anyone know of a reputable alternative for getting a half model of a cape dory typhoon?

Re: problems with scale model company
Pete,
I have always seen half scale models advertised at boat shows. The boat shows usually have a web site which list who will be showing wares.
Good Luck..

Take a look at Dave Carter's post of 07/19/2000 regarding the <a href="http://www.toolworks.com/capedory/bboar ... l">Trident Studio</a>.
I purchased a half hull model of our CD32 from the Scale Model Co. last year. I did receive the model but they were difficult to get in touch with (I had the same problems you're having) -- model ordered in October as a Christmas gift showed up in May!
They produce a very nice product but their management just doesn't have it together. (They are under new management since Cape Dory used them and have moved from Maryland to Michigan.)
