Greetings to all, hope Thanksgiving was enjoyed by all. We are still at Grand Mariner Marina in AL trying to make way south. The staff here put out a spread for all the transit boaters to enjoy. Beats trying to cook a huge meal onboard in the middle of major projects.
Speaking of projects…
HELP - We had to remove the heat exchanger bracket to get a crack welded. Now its time to put it back on, it has grown legs, we can't fine it anywhere. Can someone please give me ideas for a safe alternative mount - or - specs for getting a new one machined.
If you are interested - the web page of our trip is www.ntr.net/~rick_r/
Thanks!!

CD33 - heat exchanger mounting bracket

Re: CD33 - heat exchanger mounting bracket
Rick,
On my CD33 it's mounted inside the wet locker and we modified the exchanger (for our Volvo MD) mount using stainless steel hose clamps, worked just fine till i ripped the whole mess out and went with through water cooling. More on that, if your interested.
I just returned from the Bahamas late this summer after a r/t on LaVida. I am in the refit stage for a crossing to Ireland this summer.
I'll watch your website for more info.
sea u,
