Russell,
I have always enjoyed reading your posts, finding them educating, well thought out, and written by someone with a healthy perspective. I admire your spirit of adventure. I hope you will still continue to post on this website or, perhaps, if you have a blog will provide a link. Best wishes with your new boat.

Russell,
Congratulations. It sounds like a great adventure.
I have always wondered about the name Lady Pauline, have you chosen a name for your new home?

Sad for us, not for you!! We'll be losing a great source of help and info as we strive to bring our boats up to Lady Pauline standards! I understand the conflicting sentiments of giving up a long time piece of your life and work, versus the joy and excitement of embarking on a new adventure with a new boat. Doing it myself, as we speak!I do not understand what is sad about it? I am getting a new boat that better suits my needs and someone else will be getting what is most likely the best equipped CD36 for ocean cruising that exists. I know I am certainly not sad to be getting a boat with quadruple the storage space, its a happy day for me.
But I also hope you keep in touch so that I can continue to live vicariously thru your posts! Good luck with your new boat and congrats to the lucky sailor who next captains Lady Pauline.

Lady Pauline is named after my mother. I will be renaming the new boat, I have not yet decided though on what it will be.tjr818 wrote:Russell,

I will still be participating on the message board, after over 10 years being active here I dont see myself just walking away from this fantastic community even if I dont have a CD anymore. I imagine one day when I give up the cruising life and switch to day sailing and weekending that something like a CD27 will be in my eventual future.David Morton wrote:Sad for us, not for you!!
