We thought about selling last fall but couldn't take a chance on being without a boat for my wife's first summer of retirement. Now we have decided to put Lola up for sale. She is a 1981 CD33 with a 2008 Yanmar 3YM30 diesel with 242 hours. Many upgrades and additions in the past few years including all new Raymarine electronics including 12" color chartplotter, 24 mile radar with overlay on to chartplotter, ST60 depth, wind and speed and Ray 54 VHF. A new 4 burner Force 10 stove and oven, All new cushions and upholstery with custom matching curtains, new bimini, new dodger, new halyards and genny sheets, new lifelines, new genoa 130, new wooden shroud rollers, new house and start batteries, new wash down pump, new auto bilge pump, new macerator, new LED cabin lights, new water heater, new whisker pole, new cockpit cushions, new chain and rode and a new custom Faircloth winter cover. She also has hot and cold pressure water, lazy jacks, 3 fenders, many dock lines, 35 lb. delta anchor with 60' chain and 250' rode.
Lola is hard to part with but we are looking for something to comfortably live on for 6 months a year. She is in great condition and has just been pulled out at Hamlin's Marine in Hampden, Maine.
$59500

Re: Cape Dory 33 For Sale
Lola is absolutely gorgeous and we very much enjoyed looking at your pictures. We are currently renovating a long neglected CD-33 and it was a pleasure to get an idea of how gorgeous she is going to be when we are finished.
We found it interesting that you said you were selling her in order to by a boat to liveaboard. We are planning to move aboard our 33 and take off from here in 2016 with no time limit and don't see the downside of living aboard a 33.

Re: Cape Dory 33 For Sale
Thanks Lance and Becky for the compliments on Lola. She has been a labor of love and is certainly a great boat to do some extended cruising but we're getting soft as we get older and are coveting a pilot house. Good luck with your rehab of your 33. Definitely a worthwhile project.
