19' Cape Dory - Model G -OPEN COCKPIT -
"Dorothy" is a fresh water sailed, 1975 - 19' Cape Dory Typhoon, Model G, sloop rigged, white hull with a blue deck paint & bottom.
It is my understanding that "Dorothy" was built for day sailing for a college program, but instead she and her sisters found their way the commercial market.
This boat has a completely open cockpit fitted out with 2 long teak bench seats port and starboard.
There is a small storage locker forward that holds the battery for the bilge pump.
Sails are almost new ( two seasons) and there is a cast Spartan motor bracket for the kicker(a very expensive little gadget), a 2004 - low hours, 4hp/four cycle, long shaft Nissan outboard with fuel tank.
Electric bilge pump and battery. Box of her misc. boat gear, fenders, etc. are included.
She comes complete with her own tandem Shore trailer, very new tires (two seasons and 8 miles) and recently packed bearings. The trailer with has a 7' mast, mounted on the trailer tongue, with steps. Her custom cradle is included, with the boat purchase. The cradle can be detached from the trailer for optional ground storage of the boat. In addition the Shore trailer comes with the additional arms for other boat configurations. Dorothy is a sound little vessel with all the equipment to sail her away and it all is in good working order. She would benefit greatly from a new coat of bottom paint, buffing out of her hull and perhaps some new deck and cockpit sole painting. A few coats of varnish would round out the work load.
Unfortunately I don’t have any pics (lost the ones I had in a computer crash a few months ago) handy and she is currently undercover for the Western New York, read lake effect winter.
I will post some pics as soon as the snow abates.
My only reason for selling is that I hate to see a lovely boat not sail and we are still voyaging LaVida, our cd33 and have not been able to utilize her as we would have liked.
Boat, cradle and trailer - $6900.00
Boat and cradle - $4900.00
Delivery is possible.

Give me a pm if you have any questions.
Thanks for looking!

Hello again.
I am anxious to hear from you as I am planning my trip east to check out Typhoons. I am very interested in yours as it is a model G and close to home. I plan to leave on Monday, Aug. 18th. Hoping to receive word from you before then. Nancy 416-203-0846 or nvmoore@bell.net
