Richard:

In submitting your paperwork did you include a document titled "Application for Simplified Measurement" (CG-5397). :?:

When I initially filed for documentation with USCG I submitted this document along with all of the other documents, forms, etc.

Questions #3-6 on the CG-5397 should be answered as follows:

3. FRP (Fiberglass)

4. Located inside hull (e.g. inboard engine or stern drive)

5. Sailboat distinct keel (or no keel)

6. Overall dimensions:

Length 25 ft 2 in

Breadth 8 ft

Depth 6 ft 3 in

I seem to recall several applicants having an issue with #5 above. I am not sure why but the USCG views our keels as "Sailboat distinct keel" and NOT "Sailboat integral keel".

I hope this help. :)

Robert,

I submitted that form with the same measurements except for #5 I'm almost positive I checked faired into hull since it seemed most logical... I wonder if thats where the issue is? Your documentation was accepted under those terms? I suppose I can mail in a new form and see if that will change anything.

Thanks,
Richard
