I am in the process of renewing fuel supply from tank to injectors. One of my fuel lines is badly rusted. Could be contributing to problem, but more importantly a likely safety issue. My local Volvo dealers say the part is no longer manufactured. Only likely shot is to find a dealer with one still in stock. Any thoughts on dealers around the country that might have carried a bit more stock forward than the rest. Any help will be appreciated.

Fuel lines for Volvo MD7A

Re: Fuel lines for Volvo MD7A
I am not sure what you mean-do you mean the line from the tanks to the filter or the line from the injector pump to the injector? Rust means a steel line-usually the lines from the tank to the motor are copper or rubber-the lines from the injector pump to the injector are under much higher pressure and are probably steel-I would try any diesel repair shop-they can probaly make them up for you if you have the originials and the fittings on the ends-but we need more info-how can they rust? they must be filled with diesel? they must rust from the outside in? is your engine painted? mine look very similiar to auto brake lines-na-too simple-just a thought-p.s. you could be in for a real bear of a time-I replaced my fuel tanks and all the hoses and it took the rest of the season to get all the air leaks sealed-make sure you fill all the hoses with fuel before installing and replace all the crush washers with new ones-I ended up using auto fuel injection line for my hoses (don't tell the Coast Guard) as well as the injection line clamps-before I stopped all the leaks-Russell S.
