1976 Cape Dory Ketch For Sale
We have been restoring the interior primarily and working our way from the bow to the stern. The previous owner has replaced all the thru hulls except for the raw water head intake. They also installed a rebuilt Westerbeke 21 HP diesel that has plenty of power. The V berth and head area are about completed and we plan on completing them in the next week or so waiting on weather. We are presently working in the main salon repainting, redesigning and updating. Recently we installed a holding tank and hoses, shower sump and a secondary bilge pump and reworked all the port lights and reseated them. All the teak in the boat is refinished and ready to install back in the boat. We also installed a new custom breaker panel and breakers. She does have 12 volt refrigeration in the galley. We will install new cushions, TV, new countertops and led lighting. Presently the countertops are out so we can replace and update electrical and plumbing. She was purchased in Miami and we sailed her to Texas and I was impressed with how she handled. The price will increase as we complete the updates but my wife is getting a little weary of me working most weekends on her. My wife is a land lubber but she can't help it. The boat is in Kemah, TX. We can be contacted to show the boat as it is in a private marina. This is the 6th boat that I have owned sailed and restored as I am truly a son of son of a sailor. We do have a web site available of the before and after photos if you are interested. All fair offers will be considered as we are thinking of going to a small trawler with larger creature comforts for land lubbers. Have a great day on the water!
