Hinged Mastgate on CD25D

During the first haul out when I went to release the gate to take sails off, the hinged gate became UN-hinged and deep sixed over the side into areas unretrievable. I have the U-shpaed pin, but not the middle piece which has gone to other "lands". Any suggestions from the more experienced sailors out there as to a replacment source, or alternate system? By the way, Mr DeMers, the 'simple things thread' was much appreciated. Thanks.

West and others sell a thing called a sail slug . It is simply run into the slot and screwed down. Cheap and effective.
