In my neighborhood, a summer breeze probably would be a SW wind, but I don't change the lyrics.

Yeah, with a good northeast wind around here, instead of skipping over the ocean like a stone, the ocean would be breaking over us like giant boulders.

Wow, this is so great... I'll be able to while away the winter listening to all of these songs so I can create the best sailing songlist.

Loggins and Messina's "Sailin' The Wind", which closes out their "Full Sail" album, draws parallels between kite-flying and sailing.

Lyle Lovett's "If I Had A Boat" is another good one.

One just came to mind: Rod Stewart's - Sailing. Ironically, the original video is shot on a power boat - oh the shame!! Really, they found that sailor's costume (think 7th member of the Village People), but couldn't muster up an available Cape Dory in the harbor for the video shoot????

OK, so most CDs were made after '75, but I'm thinking there were sailboats around, none the less
