JT's and Armchair closed?

Does anyone know for certain whether JT's Chandlers and the Armchair Sailor in Newport Rhode Island are closed? The info on the net is conflicting.

I asked someone about Armchair who was recently in Newport, and they said it was closed. I didnt see it first hand though, so I cant claim I know for certain. I thought though that Bluewater Books bought them out about 9 years ago though, and Bluewaters website does not list a RI location currently.

I have no idea what JTs is, so zero help there.

I went by the Armchair store in Newport last summer and it was empty and closed.

There is still a good nautical book / chart store in Philly. On the waterfront near the center if the city.

Wow, Philly isnt exactly the first place that comes to mind where i would expect a store like that.
