Portal finishes the Pacific
Hey everyone,
Thought I would let you know that Portal, our CD 30 has made it happily across the Pacific, and is enjoying a long-term rest in Brisbane, Australia. We left California in march of this year, and have been slowly plodding our way across the Pacific. Despite experiencing quite unsettled weather (other boats have reported this year as odd too) and lots of challenges, Portal performed brilliantly and gave us very little trouble. I remain in love with this great strong little boat!
For now we are living on her in Brisbane and enjoying the settled life...
Perhaps we'll go for a day sail! What a wonderful idea...
Thanks again for all your wisdom and help along the way!
Lily

Lily,
Congratulations! We would all really like to hear more about your passage and about your future plans. Accomplishments like yours make all of us just a little bit more proud to be Cape Dory sailors. Keep us posted.

The journey you chose requires skill and courage in any boat. But accomplishing the feat in a 30' boat is exceptional.
Thanks for sharing with us!
