CD 27 Whale Gusher Bilge Pump

When we replaced the flapper valves on our Whale gusher pump we failed to notice that the parts kit came with two types of flapper valve (both very similar) for different ages of the pumps. It took us a while to work out why the xxx thing didn't work. So check carefully.

Does that fit the original pump on the 27's? Mine is an 81 also.

It will fit a Whale Gusher 8 MK3, which is what was installed on my 25. My guess is that is the same one on the 27 if it's original to the boat. I was also able to obtain a .pdf of an exploded diagram of the pump from Whale a couple of years ago. If you send me an email, I'll be more than happy to send a copy to you and anyone else out there that is interested.
