Fold a boat

Post by Margrit Keyes »

When I purchased my CD28 it came with a fold-a-boat. It is too heavy
for me to handle and I want to sell it. Does anyone have any first
hand knowledge of a fold-a-boat? How much did they sell for?
Thanks.

A "porta-boat" has been advertised in our Michigan paper for several weeks for $400. Advertisement says it folds flat and stern can take a motor. They have a website; you might try searching for it. I believe they are pretty pricey new, (over a thousand I believe), but since it's winter and this seller obviously hasn't found a buyer I'd offer him something like $200 and be prepared to start walking away if he didn't accept it.

Roger is correct. A new Porta-Boat is over $1000, a little pricey for me. I am interested in a used boat. However, the distance between CA and GA would make shipping cost to high? Let me know if you don't find any takers locally. Maybe we can work something out.
