Restored CD28 back in the sea

Post by GinoDelG »

Yesterday we relaunched our CD28 after a major refit and renaming. We're looking forward to many happy years of sailing. Some of the work we've done this winter include:

New external chainplates
New non skid on the deck
Removed and varnished with Bristol Finish all the exterior teak (toe rails were refinished but not removed)
Removed and restored the bow sprit and added new bow roller
Painted interior
New electrical system with hinged door
New bilge pump
I'm sure I've forgotten a bunch of other stuff.
Here are some photos

Are you still sailing your CD28? How have the chainplates performed?

Quick question. What length difference was there, if any, in the shroud lengths with the new external chainplates?

I just ordered bronze from Atlas Metals.

Thanks,
Tom
