Notice of Typhoon Invitational Regattas

Post by chuck carmichael »

The Rappahannock River Yacht Club invites fellow Typhooners to a one day regatta on the Rappahannock River on Saturday, June 22. A reception and cookout will follow racing.Details are available at RRYC.Org

RRYC will host the 3 day Typhoon National Regatta on September 27 through September 29. IN 2012 we had 35 Typhoons competing in 2 fleets. We look forward to 50 entries this fall.

RRYC is hosting the Hospice TurkeyShoot Regatta on October 12 and 13. There will be a Typhoon fleet, and all Cape Dorys are eligible to sail in other fleets.

Details for all of the listed events are available at RRYC.Org, or contact Chuck Carmichael at crcarmichael@ va.metrocast.net

As a person that lives and boats in this same area and as a person that is not biased as a member (one day when time permits and if they will have me) I can vouch for the RRYC and their top notch get-togethers, particularly as they relate to Cape Dory Typhoons. If anyone is on the fence about whether it is worth the trip (perhaps from out of state), I believe that you will be pleased that you did attend any or all of the noted events.

- I used to like boating and fixing stuff, then I bought a couple of boats and now I just fix stuff :)
