Port light Insect Screens

Post by John Danicic »

Dear fellow Cape Dory owners.

It is that time of year again when our thoughts turn to sailing while flies and mosquitos thoughts turn to bitting the heck out of us. At this they are eminently successful due to millions of years of evolution.

Fight back agains the hordes with my copper and bronze port light screens. Although I lack the benefit of millions of years evolution, I am in my 9th year of making these screens for our Cape Dory's portlights.

Since the sailing season on Lake Superior will be beginning soon,
(not soon enough for me), I will be less and less available to quickly ship screens as the season progresses. Please be patient if you don't hear right back from me when you order or enquire.

You can access my web site here, Screens of Schooner Bay to order my screens. Hurry, before the wind changes direction and I take off.
Sail on

I am a happy, satisfied customer of John's screens. I bought a set for my CD25 several years ago to replace the original plastic screens. John's look great and do a good job of keeping all the bugs out here in Savannah.

Another happy customer here aboard Sláinte. The keep out the bugs and actually seem to help a bit with the suns rays too.

Another of what I am sure are many satisfied customers. I bought six (6) for S/V Bali Ha'i (Cape Dory 25D) last year. They install easily, fit very snug, and look great. Worth every penny :!:

I am yet another very happy customer. These screens are top notch - better than OEM.
