flag halyards/ lazy jacks

Post by john churchill/ SKUA cd26 »

i am getting ready to take a trip up the mast on my cd26 (same rig as the cd25d). i would like to rig lazy jacks and a stbd spreader flag halyard. where is the best place to cleat off this halyard-mast or shroud? I use a rf genoa, but may fit a working jib at some point. any good ideas as to what works or doesn't would be appreciated.

I cleat port and stbd spreader halyards to the shroud... the previous owner cleated them at the mast. I prefer the shrouds because it reduces the clutter at the mast, where I have main/jib/spin halyards + jiffy reefing line. I tie off to the shroud with a rolling hitch, avoiding a shroud cleat that could catch the genoa.
