1983 Cape Dory Typhoon Weekender; $4,900.00 – York, Maine

Due to lack of use I have reluctantly decided to sell my Cape Dory Typhoon. This Weekender model is in excellent condition. After several years of searching I have found this Typhoon to be one of the best in terms of condition and appointments. Below is a brief description:

• 1983 Cape Dory Typhoon, hull #1940 of 1982 built
• LOA = 18’-6”, Beam = 6’-3”, Draft = 2’-7”, Displacement = 2,000#
• 5 HP Mercury long shaft outboard (2 stroke) with internal and external fuel tanks with less than 35 hours of use
• 12 volt electrical system with running lights and solar charger
• Garmin GPS and Piranha MAX depth sounder on custom mounted bracket
• Bulk headed mounted compass
• Bow pulpit and stanchions and life lines
• Anchor & coast guard safety equipment
• Main, Genoa, original hank on jib, and cruising spinnaker
• Harken roller furling
• Upgraded traveler
• Two winches, tiller extension, and main sail cover
• Whisker pole
• Teak companion way hatch boards
• Teak and holly sole
• Porta potty
• Bottom paint 2012
• Original owners manuals

The hull and deck is original. Gel coat on the hull is excellent and the deck and cockpit sole is solid and dry with minimal crazing.
