CD Cutter for sale

Post by ronkberg »

What size is this Cape Dory? http://boston.craigslist.org/sob/boa/3265440418.html

Not sure what this sale actually is since it has different number of portals in the two photos. Have a look and maybe someone can get a cheap deal for a large Cape Dory Cutter.

Maybe I should make an offer for a slight trade-up.......nah, too many windows to clean!

The photo under sail is a late model CD36 (fiberglass coaming rather then teak, this is obviously not the 1982 boat listed for sale). The one on the hard and the line drawing is a CD30 I think. I would be willing to bet "needs TLC" is a huge understatement if the boat hasnt been used in 18 years!

The boat under sail is my boat Shana and I don't know where that picture was taken or by whom. The background appears to be somewhere in Maine. Shana is a 1986 36'CD

That boat is in the same boatyard where I store my boat for the winter. It is a CD 30. It showed up this spring and I believe one of the yard's employees had purchased it with the idea of fixing it up and reselling it. It obviously had been sitting in someone's backyard for years as it was covered with dirt and mold. I've not seen the spars, the sails, the engine or the cabin, but the basic hull seemed sound enough. Clearly it is a project boat, but if that is what you are looking for it might be worth checking out.
