Rhubarb afloat

Post by John Danicic »

To all:

The shameless commerce locker wishes to announce the publication of my 1st mate and CDSOA member's rhubarb cook book,

Rhubarb Renaissance by Kim Ode (Link Fixed 3-27-2012)

I don't recommend noshing on raw rhubarb to starve off sea sickness but it might take the edge off of scurvy on those long voyages.

Some tasty recipes for all you adventurers out there. Some free ones on the web site.

Link not working

Post by Carl Thunberg »

My rhubarb is just poking its head through the ground, and I'm always looking for a good bee-pop-a-reebop rhubarb pie recipe. Alas, the link didn't work.

I fixed the link. My bad.

She tried to get Garrison Keillor to give her the recipe for bee-bop-a-reebop rhubarb pie but alas, there was no response to her queries probably because it doesn't exist.
She does include the following....

A classic rhubarb custard pie. A salted carmel "rhubapple" pie and a frozen rhubarb chiffon pie.

And here I thought it was only in Garrison Keillor's mind. What the heck does it look like (the rhubarb)?

It is in his mind and only there.

Also, don't you have Rhubarb in OK? Then again, probably not. It is a northern crop.

Here is what it looks like. Red celery!

I love Strawberry Rhubarb Pie! Strawberry and Rhubarb both are ready for harvest in June and complement each other. Strawberry Rhubarb Pie seems a Divine Invention, it is heavenly.
