Genoa block replacement 25D 1" track

Post by bhartley »

I purchased some Schaefer 1" genoa track blocks to replace the current ones on our 25D. The primary reason was to get ones with spring loaded adjustment not screw-type. I planned to use the old ones our other 25D (which will be moving to a new home in Annapolis next week). Turns out that the 1" Schaefer units are just a little too narrow for the 1" track. They have a delrin/plastic insert which I can probably file down, but I am interested to know what others have done.

If anyone has an extra pair of the old screw-type lying around they want to sell, I'd be interested in the too. One of the boats did not come with a genny and apparently never had blocks.

:) I purchased new blocks from Shaeffer three years ago and they fit perfectly. I'll look around for my old blocks. You could also drill out the rivets and just replace the wheels.
