scupper removal

Post by bobred »

I have a CD 25 and want to remove the bronze scuppers so I can
replace the hose to the seacock. Is there a special tool in order
to unscrew the scupper?

I think you will find that the only tools that will remove the scupper drains are a blow torch and a big hammer. If you look at the scupper drains in the Spartan catalog you will see that they are glassed in place. This makes replacing the hoses kind of a PITA. Short stiff hose runs can be a bear. For the removal you can cut them in half and pull both sides. For replacement, some mild heat and dish soap might help.

Best of luck with this job, Steve.
