Carl Alberg designed the South Coast, the Sea Sprite, and the Kittiwake, all 23' hulls and difficult to distinguish from one another. I acquired this South Coast eight years ago and planned to restore it. I already had a Cape Dory 25 and fell victim to the philosophy that two boats are better than one. Life got in the way of the restoration, and I've been having too much fun sailing the Cape Dory. The South Coast is sitting in my back yard and it's time for me to let it go.
The boat is a 23' double headsail yawl with a trailer, built in 1968. It needs small repairs to base of keel after grounding. It has four sails, and the interior cushions are in good condition. The boat has been under a tarpaulin for eight years. There are quite a number of pretty additions by the previous owner. The interior and exterior (on the hard) attached pictures were taken when we bought the boat. The third picture was taken by the previous owner before the grounding
23' South Coast yawl with trailer–project boat $1500.

I forgot to mention: the boat is located in Westbrook, Maine.

I'm not sure about the age of the trailer. The frame is certainly in good condition. The tires have been sitting in the same spot for about eight years, so they would need to be replaced (at least the two facing in the direction of the sun).
