Is anyone interested in creating a Cape Dory themed screensaver? On my comupter I have a UK Sailmakers screensaver and its really beautiful. Hinkley also has a nice screensaver. You can download them for free at the websites.
I think we could make a great screensaver from this message board. If people simply e-mailed the digital pics of their boats (for those that dont have a digital camera, just need to scan in a picture), then a savy programmer could create a screensaver from the pics pretty easily. We can post it on this site as a free download.
Any interest? Any programmers?

A couple people have sent me beautiful pics of their boats. I would love to send them on to someone who can create a simple screensaver with about 20 pics or so. If anyone knows how to do this, or knows someone who can please tell me.

Rather than re-inventing the wheel, you can just purchase a screen saver that you can add your own photos to. Good examples of this type of software are "Slide Show Ultra Gold" and "Picture Saver" by <a href="http://www.cmbsoftware.com/">CMB Software</a>. There are others and they can easily be found by searching the internet.
Both "Slide Show Ultra Gold" and "Picture Saver" are inexpensive.

Picture Saver, $14.95
And free demo copies can be downloaded from CMB's website.
And for the Mac users out there, you can try a product like Eclipse, by <a href="http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/">Ambrosia Software</a>. It's only $15.00. You can download a demo copy of this too. Again, there are others, just search the web.
They are easy to install and easy to use. All you have to do is add your photos.
