Would you consider donating it to a non-profit youth sail training program? We have a CD 22 and would be interested in another to match race. Needs work - no problem, that's part of the program. We are currently restoring an Alberg designed 1965 Pearson Ensign for sail training. Please let me know. Thanks!

Sailaway,
Depending on several factors, you might get a good deduction by donating the boat.
Since they are going to use the boat, they would keep it and make improvements to it so that you maybe able to claim the fair market value of the boat. See for discussion of issue. http://www.bankrate.com/finance/money-g ... ity-1.aspx
