CD27 for $7,500

1981 Cape Dory 27, #200, needs new owner with more financial resources.

With two children in college, I'm struggling to come up with slip fees. And the boat just isn't getting used enough. So I need to let her go in the interest of family harmony and financial need.

She's in good shape, but will need some work, not just yet, but the cockpit floor is getting soft. How much longer will this 30 year old diesel last? The engine continues to run great. Since Labor day I've replaced the filters and hoses and removed and cleaned the fuel tank.

I installed a new Knot meter and swim ladder in the last year. She needs a new compass.

Roller furling is by Furlex, works but is aging.
Autohelm 1000 works fine, but it's aging too.
Two front sails-- one is in very good shape and dates to about 2006. The other may be the original that I've been using this year. It's fine.
Main sail (circa 2002) is also in good shape, needs battens
Lazy jacks
Danforth anchor
mechanical head with y-valve and holding tank
freshwater tank, not used by me
alcohol stove, not used by me or hardly by anyone, and ice box
Depthsounder works good, knot meter is new.
DC only. Cabin lights and navigation lights all work.
Cockpit cushions and interior cushions are all in nice condition
Brass portlights could use new rubber gaskets--I have the gasket material.
Am/Fm tape player is old school, but works fine.
Slip fees are paid through March 31.

Last survey done in November 2007 when I acquired her.
