Spliced

Post by Jim Cornwell »

Couldn't hear your cursing from here - too much competition in my immediate vicinity from yardwork projects. Splices look very nice and I'm sure you'll forget the ordeal when you get to use that traveller! Jim.

Hello to All

FYI the new Harken track (#2720 27mm) has fastener holes centered on 100 mm NOT 4" like the OEM track. You need to order the 373 or 374 to get the retrofit 4" holes & the new track (both) use #10 fasteners not 1/4".

Fair winds.

Another vote for buntline hitch

Another advantage over splicing is the ease of alternating end for end from season to season. I think splicing is fun but now I save it for mooring and anchor lines over a thimble. Another vote too for long jib sheets with a larkshead.

Happy Holidays to all.
