It's been quite a while since I've visited the board but now every message I click on generates a warning from AVG about this supposed threat. Is anyone else seeing this?
Another oddity is that I cannot update my settings... no "Save/Update" button is displayed.

Some antivirus software consider any message board or social networking sites as "Blackhat SEO" threats because folks can easily embed bogus links and images in their postings. That doesn't mean that there's anything wrong with any of the images or links, just that they may be malicious and that you should be careful. Anyway, just be careful before clicking on any links within emails and postings on any message board or even sites like facebook.
If you are using AVG, the AVG software doesn't like our site for the reason mentioned above. We are also using very old message board software which has never been updated, so none of the security "fixes" have ever been applied. We have no intention of updating the software, but we will be replacing it with the most up-to-date software when we get a chance. (Don't forget that we are volunteers and can only do this stuff in our spare time.)
There should be a setting somewhere in the AVG software that you can change to make it trust our site, but since I don't use that software, I'm not familiar with how it works. You'll have to see if you can find it.

If you're trying to change your message board profile settings, you won't be able to do that until you change your AVG settings. It's AVG that's hiding the "Submit" button.mgphl52 wrote:.......Another oddity is that I cannot update my settings... no "Save/Update" button is displayed.

AVG fix?
Has anyone with AVG figured out how to make the VERY annoying message to go away?
